The Planetarium in Olsztyn is a memorial in honour to Nicolaus Copernicus. It was opened on February 19^th, 1973 on quincentenary of the great astronomer's birthday. The modern building of the Planetarium, designed by Ludomir Gosławski, is located in the centre of the town.
